What a Shame !
When entire North India is reeling under power shortage, production of power in HP was shut down on the grounds of "less demand".

Here is the scanned copy of news report published on page-3 of the local edition of TOI on 09/06/2014. This led to release of water from the dam and subsequent callous handling culminated in drowning of students in the Mandi tragedy as per the reports.

There is complete apathy towards suffering, of people, lack of vision and effort to sell power to needy states in time time of power crisis.
